4-5 of April 2016 the COST Project GenderSTE event-symposium was organized by the BASNET Forumas in Vilnius, University Senate Hall. It was dedicated to discuss the structural change promoting gender equality in research organizations. The symposium was attended by the Baltic countries’ science policy makers (representatives of the Ministries of Science and Education and Science Councils), executives and high level administrators of science-funding agencies and universities. The symposium was honored by the Vice Minister of Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science Mr. R. Zuoza, Vice-President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences and Member of the Latvian Scientific Council Prof. Baiba Rivja, Vice Rector for Research of Vilnius University Prof. R. Jankauskas and others. The well known experts in implementation of structural change in research organizations from EU countries shared good practice with participants of the symposia. Among speakers there were coordinator of genderSTE project Prof. Ines Sanchez de Madariaga (Madrid Technical University, Spain), Dr. Roberta Schaller-Steidl (Austrian Ministry of Science Education and Economics), Prof. Uduak Archibong (Bradford University, UK), Barbara Limanowska (EIGE, Lithuania), Prof. Gustav Amberg (Swedish Royal Institute of Technology) and others.
