12 of December 2017 BASNET Forumas organized the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Maria Sklodowska Curie. The event took part in the White Hall of the Vilnius University Library. During the event the book “Marie Curie. Une femme dans son siècle” (Marie Curie: woman of her age), issued in Paris on this occasion was presented to the Lithuanian scientific society. The book was written by scientists working at the Musée Curie Museum in Paris in collaboration with Marie Curie’s granddaughter Hélène Langevin-Joliot. The book which purchase was funded by French Institute in Lithuania was donated during the event to the Vilnius University Library. In the event participated Director of French Institute Mr. Jean-Marie Sani , Vice rector of VU Prof. R. Jankauskas, Member of VU Council Mr. Č. Okinčic, members of BASNET Forumas association and members of VU community.
