The innovative hydrogen and hydrogen compounds sensor is being developed under the project ,,Development of technology for a new generation of the hydrogen and hydrogen compounds sensor for applications in above normative conditions" co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Innovative Economy Operational Programme 2007-2013 (No UDA-POIG.01.03.01-14-071/08-04).

The project deteH is being performed by scientific-industrial consortium composed of Tele & Radio Research Institute (Warsaw, Poland, beneficent), Faculty of Chemistry of University of Warsaw, Faculty of Electronics and Information of Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences, Kielce University of Technology, Institute of Mathematics of The Jan Kochanowski University of Humanities and Sciences, wiêtokrzyski Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer (Kielce, Poland) and Nanosens Measuring Devices (Tarnowo Podgórne, Poland).
The aim of the project is the development of a sensor prototype in which an active layer will be consisted of different allotropic forms of carbon doped with palladium nanograins. Carbon matrix should have a nanoporous structure due to a great influence of a high specific surface area on a sensor sensitivity.

The research tasks of the project include:
1) development of the technology of sensors active layer
2) preparation of suitable substrates for the deposition of the active layer
3) development of the technology of putting the electrodes on the sensors active layer
4) development of an electronic system of the sensor to control a measuring signal and to data acquisition
5) numerical simulation of the phenomena occurring in the sensor active layer under various environment conditions such as changeable temperature, pressure and hydrogen adsorption.

The implementation of the developed technology should contribute to growth of enterprise and employment as well as development of knowledge-based economy. The sensor will find application in microbiology, animal husbandry and chemical industries.
We invite to cooperation all scientific institutions and companies, which are interested in the results of our work, in order to commercialize the developed product.
